Food for Thought: Not Nature

With the rate of plastic consumption rising exponentially through single use items to flimsy pieces of build-it-yourself furniture, this begs the question, why do we try to imitate nature with materials that are destroying nature itself?

What is it about these things that intrigues us? Is it because we seek to surround ourselves with natural beauty that will remain eternal? Or, is it because we would rather spend a buck towards something that we don’t have to take care of? Think about it.

Take this vine with plastic leaves for example, it is so beautiful, but it represents the destruction of nature through the production of nature-mimicking items.
